Yard Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Yard Supervisor to lead daily yard operations in a busy retail and distribution setting. This role is responsible for overseeing yard staff, coordinating equipment and vehicle use, managing incoming and outgoing deliveries, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area. The right candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong communication, planning, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to motivate a team and build positive working relationships. Key duties include supervising and supporting yard associates and drivers, assisting with training and onboarding, and helping ensure staff follow safety procedures and operational standards. You will help receive, inspect, sort, and store inventory, monitor stock levels, and report shortages when needed. The position also involves maintaining equipment and vehicle records, coordinating service needs, and ensuring documentation is accurate and complete. Customer service is an important part of the role, so professionalism and a helpful approach are essential when working with customers, sales staff, and delivery teams. A successful candidate will be organized, adaptable, and comfortable balancing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
