Yard Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Yard Supervisor to oversee daily operations in a busy building materials yard. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for coordinating staff, equipment, vehicles, deliveries, inventory flow, and overall yard presentation. The right person will bring strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, along with a practical leadership style that supports a safe, efficient, and customer-focused environment. Key duties include supervising yard associates and delivery drivers, assigning work, coaching team members, and helping with onboarding and training. You will work closely with dispatch and store leadership to support incoming stock, outgoing deliveries, and accurate inventory control. The role also involves checking shipments, organizing and storing products, monitoring stock levels, and reporting shortages when needed. Safety is a major part of the position. You will help ensure proper use of vehicles and equipment, maintain maintenance records, and support compliance with workplace safety procedures. Keeping the yard orderly, clean, and secure is also essential. In addition, you will handle customer interactions professionally and assist sales staff in meeting customer needs. This role offers a competitive hourly wage in the mid-to-high $20 range, along with standard employee benefits.
