The Vice President of Business Development will be responsible for driving growth strategies by identifying, negotiating, and securing new project opportunities and strategic partnerships in the renewable natural gas sector. This role requires a proven track record in business development within renewable energy or environmental commodities, along with strong relationships across feedstock suppliers, offtakers, and financing partners. The Vice President will lead a team focused on deal origination, structuring, and execution, ensuring that the project pipeline aligns with strategic, financial, and sustainability objectives. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to support the evaluation of prospective development opportunities, including anaerobic digester and methane projects, will be essential. Candidates should possess excellent interpersonal and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. A dynamic professional with a positive attitude is preferred, who can work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Key responsibilities include identifying and evaluating new business opportunities, developing and executing a business development strategy, negotiating feedstock supply agreements and offtake contracts, and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders. The role also involves leading contract negotiations, overseeing due diligence processes, monitoring market trends, and mentoring the business development team. This position can be based remotely or in a specified location. A bachelor's degree is required; further qualifications may be preferred.
