The Vice President of Estimation is a business leader responsible for defining the estimation strategy of the organization and overseeing a team of approximately ten estimators. This role involves guiding submission decisions based on profitability, risk, and competitive positioning in the market. Key responsibilities include: - Developing estimation strategies aligned with business goals and growth ambitions. - Directing project selection for bidding based on profitability, risk, and operational capacity. - Contributing to strategic planning, profitability analysis, market trends, and business opportunities. - Leading and mentoring the estimation team to foster a culture of performance and accountability. - Recruiting top talent and structuring career development plans within the department. - Overseeing the entire estimation process, including plan analysis, quantification, pricing requests, and final submission validation. - Ensuring the reliability, competitiveness, and profitability of bids. - Collaborating with project management, engineering, and construction teams for smooth transitions from estimation to execution. - Building and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and strategic partners. - Implementing and improving internal tools and processes while ensuring competitive and technological awareness. The ideal candidate will have a degree in civil engineering, architecture, or a related field, with a minimum of 15 years of estimation experience in the construction sector, including 7 to 10 years in a senior management role. Strong knowledge of the private construction market and proficiency in estimation software is essential. Leadership, strategic vision, and excellent communication skills are required to thrive in a dynamic environment with multiple projects.
