Traveling Site Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced site superintendent to lead retail and restaurant construction projects across multiple provinces. This role involves overseeing day-to-day site operations, coordinating subcontractors, and keeping work on schedule and within quality and safety standards. In many cases, you will be the primary person representing the employer on site, so strong communication and independent decision-making are essential. Key responsibilities include planning the sequence of work, managing deliveries and inspections, tracking progress, and preparing regular site updates and logs through project management software or a comparable system. You may also be expected to complete smaller hands-on tasks, address deficiencies, and help close out punch list items when needed. The role requires regular interaction with clients, landlords, and general contractors, along with active enforcement of site safety requirements in line with applicable regulations. The ideal candidate brings several years of experience supervising commercial interior projects, a practical understanding of multiple trades, and the ability to read drawings and specifications. A valid driver’s license, relevant safety certifications, and availability for extended travel assignments are required.
