A training organization is seeking an experienced wall and ceiling trade professional for a full-time instructor and coordinator role. This position focuses on delivering apprenticeship training for multiple levels of the trade, along with introductory recruitment classes and related safety instruction.
Key responsibilities include preparing and teaching lessons, developing curriculum for skills-based training, supporting apprentice progression, and maintaining a clean and organized classroom and shop environment. The role also involves caring for training equipment and helping ensure safety standards are followed. In addition, the successful candidate will mentor learners, promote trade careers at outreach events and open houses, and participate in staff, safety, and industry meetings as needed.
The ideal candidate will have several years of field experience in the trade, with leadership experience considered an asset. A strong willingness to learn instructional methods and teach commercial and structural construction topics is important. Good communication, organization, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
This is an in-person, full-time position with a standard weekday schedule, though occasional weekend work and travel for professional development may be required. Competitive compensation and benefits are offered.
