We are looking for an experienced Technical Artist to support asset creation and in-engine integration for high-end game production. In this role, you will help bridge the gap between art and technology by assisting artists with production workflows, validating assets for engine compatibility, and improving the overall pipeline for characters, props, and environment work. Your day-to-day work may include integrating 3D assets into real-time engines and internal tools, reviewing files for technical compliance, and collaborating with production and IT teams on version control and workflow tools. You will also contribute to documentation and artist training, help refine asset creation processes, and create or adapt props and textures that match art direction. Experience with material setup and implementation in modern game engines is important, along with a strong understanding of optimization and real-time performance requirements. The ideal candidate has several years of experience in technical art for games, ideally with work on a shipped AAA title. You should be comfortable with leading art software, modern engine workflows, scripting or tool development, and procedural or material-based production methods. A strong artistic eye, problem-solving ability, and good communication skills are essential. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Quebec City or Montreal, with relocation considered. The salary range is 60,000 to 80,000 CAD.
