Team Lead, Logistics and Equipment Services

We are seeking an experienced team lead to oversee logistics and equipment support operations within a public safety environment. In this role, you will coordinate the planning, organization, supervision, and control of activities related to equipment acquisition, inventory management, distribution, inspection, maintenance, repair, and retirement. You will also support special projects and ensure that day-to-day service requests are handled efficiently and safely. Your responsibilities will include assigning and scheduling work for team members, setting priorities, and following up on operational deadlines. You will oversee the safe execution of tasks by internal staff and external partners in accordance with health and safety requirements. You will help coordinate maintenance and repair work across multiple facilities, manage purchase requests and purchasing controls, and act as a key liaison with internal departments, vendors, and service partners. You will also be responsible for tracking inventory, ensuring the movement and distribution of equipment to service locations, supporting logistics for special events, and overseeing facility security-related matters such as access control and monitoring systems. The role requires strong leadership, solid communication skills, organizational abilities, and the capacity to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment focused on continuous improvement. A college diploma in a relevant field, several years of related experience, and experience in supervision or coordination are required. A valid driver’s licence in a suitable class, or the ability to obtain it within a set period, is also needed.
