We are seeking a full-time Team Lead to support a residential care program for young people. This role combines direct frontline work, staff coordination, and program development in a setting focused on relationship-based care and positive life skills.
The successful candidate will help strengthen team practices, support scheduling and staffing coverage, contribute to staff coaching and development, and work under the guidance of a supervisor to improve program delivery. Day-to-day responsibilities may include case planning, family engagement, cultural connection work, documentation, and participation in on-call and rotating shift coverage, including evenings, overnights, and weekends.
We are looking for someone with strong leadership ability, sound judgment, and the capacity to solve problems in a practical and thoughtful way. Good communication, organization, time management, and facilitation skills are important, along with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and community partners. Familiarity with trauma-informed and solution-focused approaches is an asset.
Applicants should have a diploma or degree in human services or a related field. Experience in residential or group care is considered an advantage. A current criminal record check, child welfare intervention record check, valid driver’s licence, and relevant safety and crisis-response training are required or strongly preferred. The role also involves household tasks, physical activity, and support with daily living activities. Competitive benefits and vacation accrual are offered.
