Summer Day Camp Supervisor

We are seeking a temporary Summer Day Camp Supervisor to lead a seasonal program for children ages 5 to 12. This role oversees daily planning and delivery of developmental, social, recreational, and cultural activities, with an emphasis on creating a safe, engaging, and age-appropriate environment. The supervisor will guide and support camp staff as they prepare weekly schedules, organize activities, and help children learn through play, outdoor experiences, and cultural programming. The successful candidate will ensure that all applicable childcare rules, organizational policies, and safety procedures are followed at all times. This position requires experience working with children in early learning, camp, after-school, outdoor, or similar settings, along with some background in supervising staff and contributing as part of a team. A post-secondary credential in early childhood education, child and youth care, or a related field is preferred, though a comparable mix of education and experience may be considered. Applicants should also have experience working with children and families from First Nations or other Indigenous communities, knowledge of child development, and the ability to support children with diverse needs. Strong communication, empathy, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills are important. Conditions of employment include a criminal record check, medical clearance, first aid and CPR certification, and a valid driver’s licence.
