Sr. Accountant, Reporting Finance

A finance team is seeking a Senior Accountant, Reporting Finance. This role is responsible for supporting quarterly close and reporting by preparing financial reporting packs and recording key accounting entries, including payroll, accruals, fixed assets, leases, taxes, and foreign exchange revaluations. The Senior Accountant will manage intercompany transactions and consolidation eliminations, ensuring accurate and timely financial information in compliance with accounting standards. Key responsibilities include maintaining lease and fixed asset schedules, posting and reconciling payroll entries, managing intercompany schedules, and ensuring timely filing of Canadian HST/QST and withholding taxes across multiple entities. The role also involves preparing reporting packs for management, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting quarterly audits. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and a professional designation, with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of accounting experience. Knowledge of accepted accounting rules and practices is essential, along with effective communication skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and experience with SAP being an asset. Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a positive team attitude are also required.
