Software Engineering Manager

Software Engineering Manager We are seeking an experienced software leader to manage and support a team of developers working across embedded systems, backend services, and user interfaces. This role combines people leadership, delivery planning, and technical guidance in a cross-functional product environment. You will coach team members through regular one-on-ones, feedback, code reviews, and career development conversations. You will help build a culture of ownership, accountability, clarity, and continuous improvement. The role includes coordinating development effort across multiple projects, balancing priorities, technical debt, capacity, and delivery commitments. You will partner with product and project stakeholders to plan, track, and deliver software initiatives from concept through release. You will also improve engineering workflows, including release practices, CI/CD, testing, documentation, and issue tracking. In addition, you will provide technical oversight on software architecture, hardware-software integration, machine control, diagnostics, and production support, while helping the team make practical trade-offs. Strong collaboration is essential, as you will work closely with hardware, product, manufacturing, service, and leadership teams. You should be comfortable communicating status, risks, and decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The position requires experience leading software developers, delivering production software, and supporting team growth. A background in backend systems, embedded or hardware-adjacent software, or full-stack development is preferred. This role is based in-office several days per week.
