Software Development Lead (C++)

We are seeking a Software Development Lead with expertise in C++ for a permanent, full-time remote position. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of a Chromium-based browser while leading a team of skilled engineers. This position combines technical leadership, people management, and hands-on software development. In this role, you will mentor and support a team of developers, guiding technical direction and priorities. You will contribute to the design, implementation, debugging, and delivery of complex software, collaborating closely with product, QA, design, and other engineering teams to ensure high-quality solutions that meet user needs. Key responsibilities include managing and coaching a team of Software Developers, fostering talent growth, and maintaining a collaborative team culture. You will also contribute directly to software development, set high standards for engineering practices, and coordinate work with various stakeholders to align technical plans with user and business needs. Candidates should have a minimum of 7 years of professional software development experience, with substantial expertise in C++, and at least 3 years in a leadership role. A strong background in systems-level development and a passion for building high-performing teams are essential. The compensation range for this position is approximately $135,000 to $155,000 per year.
