Site Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to oversee commercial construction projects in the Halifax area and, as needed, throughout Atlantic Canada. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day field operations from mobilization through final turnover, while working closely with project management, clients, consultants, subcontractors, and site crews. The successful candidate will coordinate on-site activities, direct subcontractors, and help keep schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements on track. You will review drawings, specifications, and project plans to confirm work is completed correctly, identify issues early, and take practical steps to maintain progress. The position also includes managing deliveries, equipment, and other site logistics, along with regular communication on status, risks, and upcoming needs. Additional responsibilities include conducting site inspections, supporting compliance with safety procedures, and leading closeout tasks such as deficiency resolution and handover. Strong relationship-building skills are important, as is the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities. Applicants should bring at least five years of experience in commercial construction supervision, a solid understanding of construction sequencing and subcontractor coordination, and the ability to read construction documents.
