We are seeking an experienced Shaft Supervisor to oversee safe and efficient shaft operations in a mining environment. This position is based in Saskatchewan and requires relocation. It will support continuous operations, including overnight coverage, as part of a rotating 12-hour shift schedule.
In this role, you will supervise hoist and shaft personnel, coordinate the movement of workers, materials, and production output, and help ensure that all activities meet applicable safety and regulatory requirements. You will also work closely with maintenance, underground, and processing teams to plan and carry out preventive and predictive maintenance for hoisting systems, shaft infrastructure, and related equipment, with the goal of reducing downtime and supporting production continuity.
A key part of the job is promoting a strong safety culture. You will lead safety meetings, perform site inspections and hazard assessments, and ensure policies and procedures are followed. Accurate recordkeeping and approval of required maintenance and operational documentation are also important aspects of the position.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with post-secondary technical training or a trade certification considered an asset. A minimum of five years of experience in mining or heavy industrial operations is required. Strong communication, leadership, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills are essential.
