Senior Transmission Line Engineer

We are seeking an experienced transmission line engineer to lead the design and delivery of power infrastructure projects across medium- and high-voltage systems. This role involves taking projects from early concept through detailed engineering, supporting both overhead and underground line work, and ensuring deliverables meet applicable codes, standards, and client requirements. In this position, you will prepare technical design criteria, perform calculations and analysis, and produce or review line models and design packages using standard transmission engineering tools. You will also develop scopes of work, material lists, and construction specifications, while helping shape feasibility studies, cost estimates, and project budgets. Some assignments may include site visits, field checks, and participation in technical discussions with clients, contractors, and internal discipline groups. A key part of the role is mentoring junior staff and coordinating engineering tasks to keep work on schedule and within budget. You may also be responsible for sealing final engineering documents where required. The successful candidate will have a civil or electrical engineering degree, a current professional engineering license, and substantial experience in transmission line design. Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills are essential. This position offers a competitive salary in the range of $130,000 to $165,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package and flexible work arrangements.
