Senior Securities Analyst

We are seeking an experienced accounting and finance professional to support a securities regulatory team in a senior analyst capacity. In this role, you will review offering documents and ongoing disclosure materials from reporting issuers, with a focus on accounting quality, completeness, and consistency with applicable reporting standards. You will assess whether financial information is presented clearly and whether any follow-up action or corrections are needed to address deficiencies. The position also includes involvement in policy work, where you may help interpret and develop rules and guidance related to corporate finance and disclosure. You may represent the organization on external working groups or committees and contribute to discussions that influence regulatory practice across jurisdictions. Internally, you will serve as a go-to resource for accounting matters, assist with budget planning and forecasting, and provide input on financial analysis and related projects. Some oversight of junior staff or operational work may also be part of the role. The successful candidate will have a university degree, a CPA designation, and several years of relevant experience after certification. Strong knowledge of accounting and auditing standards is required, along with familiarity with international reporting standards. Clear writing, sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to manage competing priorities are essential. Experience with securities regulation and bilingual ability are considered assets.
