We are seeking an experienced regulatory professional to lead permitting and compliance work for mining and other resource-sector projects. This role supports environmental assessment, licensing, and approval activities from early planning through execution, while coordinating with technical teams to keep projects moving efficiently.
Key responsibilities include managing regulatory submissions, supporting water-related approvals, and helping shape project plans so environmental and permitting requirements are addressed effectively. You will work closely with internal specialists to identify practical ways to improve project design, reduce risk, and maintain compliance with applicable requirements. The role also involves preparing schedules, reviewing technical documents, and providing senior guidance on complex deliverables.
A significant part of the position is external engagement. You will communicate with government agencies, Indigenous communities, stakeholders, and other parties involved in project approvals. You may also represent the organization in meetings, workshops, and related forums, and help prepare presentation and proposal materials as needed.
The successful candidate will bring extensive experience in environmental consulting or a related industry, along with a strong understanding of regulatory processes in northern and western Canadian jurisdictions. Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills are important, as is the ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and mentor junior staff. Proficiency with standard office software and a collaborative approach are also essential.
