Senior Project Engineer

Senior Project Engineer Full-time A senior engineering professional is needed to provide technical leadership and oversight across infrastructure and capital projects. The role is responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, codes, standards, and professional obligations, while supporting risk management, quality assurance, and effective project delivery. Key responsibilities include reviewing and approving designs, drawings, reports, and cost estimates; providing expert technical advice to leadership, clients, and project teams; and supporting project planning, budgeting, and scheduling. The position may also involve acting as a project engineer and/or project manager, attending meetings with clients, regulators, and contractors, and carrying out site visits as required. This role includes mentoring junior and intermediate engineers and technologists, supporting proposal development, and contributing to internal technical standards and review processes. Requirements: - Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in good standing, or eligible for transfer - Approximately 20 years of progressive engineering experience - Strong senior-level technical leadership and risk management experience - Knowledge of Ontario codes, standards, and regulations, particularly in water and wastewater infrastructure - Experience with community infrastructure projects is an asset - Mentoring and advisory experience is preferred - Excellent communication, professionalism, and decision-making skills - Must be legally eligible to work in Canada; immigration sponsorship is not available Compensation is senior-level and commensurate with experience.
