Senior Programmer/Database Administrator

We are seeking three temporary full-time senior technical professionals to support major systems work within a post-secondary environment. This hybrid role is based in Ontario and combines on-site collaboration with remote work, subject to operational needs. The assignment is for a fixed term of approximately two years and includes a standard weekday schedule. In this position, you will support a large student systems migration and related data conversion, integration, and reporting activities. Working under the direction of senior leadership, you will provide advanced programming, systems analysis, system design, and database administration support for enterprise applications. You will also assist with training and guidance for other programming staff as needed. Key responsibilities include reviewing current processes, gathering user requirements, evaluating options, and recommending practical solutions. You will help design complex systems, prepare technical specifications, and contribute to project coordination with cross-functional teams. The role also involves code review, testing, and approval of application changes to help ensure quality and consistency. In addition, you will work with database structures, create and maintain database objects, and support data queries and updates. Experience with enterprise systems, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work closely with stakeholders are important for success in this role.
