We are seeking a Senior Process Mechanical Engineer to support the construction of a major wastewater treatment project. This role offers hands-on involvement in construction, commissioning, start-up, and on-site problem solving for a complex infrastructure facility built on a constrained site.
Key responsibilities include leading and participating in meetings with operations and maintenance staff to identify design improvements, coordinating work across multiple disciplines and offices, and contributing to design development and review. You will participate in scope, engineering, specifications, process flow and instrumentation diagrams, line lists, tie-in lists, equipment lists, controls, and HAZOP reviews. The role also includes coordinating engineering deliverables, supporting commissioning, start-up, and turnover activities, and ensuring alignment across technical disciplines.
During construction, you will liaise with contractors, design consultants, and client representatives, help resolve issues related to quality and interpretation of design documents, and ensure compliance with contract requirements. You will also lead or attend project status meetings and mentor junior engineers.
The successful candidate will review consultant deliverables, interpret client standards and expectations, and work in accordance with applicable quality programs, codes, and standards. This is a strong opportunity for a senior engineer seeking meaningful project leadership in water and wastewater infrastructure.
