We are looking for an experienced process mechanical engineer to support a major wastewater treatment project from construction through commissioning and startup. This role offers the chance to work on a complex, multi-level facility designed for a constrained urban site, with a strong focus on solving field issues and supporting successful delivery.
The position will involve close coordination with operations staff, contractors, consultants, and internal technical teams. You will help refine design solutions, participate in technical and project meetings, and support the preparation, review, and approval of engineering deliverables. Typical work includes contributing to process and mechanical design documentation, equipment and tie-in lists, controls coordination, and safety reviews.
During construction, you will act as a key technical point of contact, helping resolve questions related to design intent, quality, and contract requirements. You will also support commissioning, startup, and turnover activities, while maintaining clear communication across disciplines and project partners.
The ideal candidate brings strong organization, communication, and leadership skills, along with experience on water or wastewater infrastructure projects. This role also includes mentoring junior staff and working in line with applicable codes, standards, and quality requirements. Competitive compensation and benefits are available.
