Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to help take precision automotive products from design through to stable, repeatable manufacturing. This role is focused on complex, vehicle-specific parts that require careful 3D geometry work, custom tooling, and tightly controlled processes to achieve high standards of fit and quality. In this hands-on individual contributor position, you will own the technical path from early design to production release. Responsibilities include working from measurement data to build accurate CAD models, setting design rules and tolerances, and ensuring parts are practical to manufacture. You will also lead reviews, make final technical recommendations, and improve the design workflow with better methods and reusable tools. A major part of the role involves developing and qualifying tooling and fixtures, including defining requirements, working with vendors, and managing changes over time. You will also help create and validate manufacturing processes for film- and polymer-based products, establish reliable operating ranges, investigate quality issues, and confirm that solutions are durable and repeatable before release. You will mentor junior engineers and students while working closely with product, operations, and manufacturing teams. The position is onsite and offers compensation up to $125,000 plus equity, depending on experience.
