Senior Manager, Information Security

This leadership role is responsible for guiding an organization’s information security governance, compliance, and risk management efforts. You will help define and execute a multi-year security roadmap, working closely with teams across engineering, IT, product, and legal to ensure security priorities are aligned with business goals. The position combines strategic planning with hands-on program leadership, including oversight of risk tracking, compliance activities, and operational reporting. A key part of the role is managing core security and privacy compliance programs, supporting audit readiness, and helping maintain strong control frameworks. You will also lead risk reviews, determine appropriate remediation paths, and provide clear, business-focused updates to senior leaders and board stakeholders. In addition, you will help shape processes for evaluating emerging technologies and new use cases, bringing structure and consistency to governance decisions. The role includes people management responsibilities, such as coaching team members, planning capacity, and coordinating outside specialists when needed. You will also help improve operational workflows, including issue intake and service response processes, so the security function can scale effectively. The ideal candidate has substantial experience in information security, governance, risk, and compliance, along with a background in leading audits, managing programs across multiple functions, and developing teams. Experience with modern technology governance is considered an asset. This position is remote within Canada.
