Senior Financial Controller

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Controller to lead the accounting and financial reporting functions for a private real estate development firm. This senior, hands-on role will involve overseeing a small accounting team while actively participating in core accounting tasks. The position reports directly to the Managing Partner. The ideal candidate will be a CPA with a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance. A strong technical background, attention to detail, and analytical skills are essential. The candidate should be comfortable navigating detailed accounting work as well as providing senior-level financial oversight across a complex multi-entity environment. Key responsibilities include preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, maintaining accounting controls and reconciliations, and ensuring timely reporting for internal and external stakeholders. The role also requires coordinating external accounting, audit, and tax functions. The compensation package ranges from $130,000 to $180,000, depending on experience, and includes a bonus, comprehensive health benefits, and four weeks of vacation.
