Senior Financial Accountant

We are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to support financial reporting within a fast-moving finance team. This term position involves preparing and reviewing external and internal reporting, analyzing results, and helping ensure accurate, timely information for business and stakeholder needs. The successful candidate will also assist with consolidations where required, maintain compliance with applicable accounting standards, and contribute to improvements in reporting processes and overall efficiency. Key responsibilities include producing financial statements and related reporting packages, reviewing monthly results, responding to audit and information requests, and supporting the ongoing development of reporting controls and procedures. You will work closely with colleagues across finance to help deliver clear, reliable, and well-organized reporting. We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to build effective working relationships. You should be highly analytical, detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage competing deadlines in a changing environment. A university degree in business, along with a professional accounting designation or equivalent experience, is required. You should have several years of progressive experience in financial reporting and a solid understanding of international accounting standards. Experience with technical accounting research and knowledge of regulated, energy-related, or other capital-intensive industries would be considered an asset.
