This role is responsible for planning and overseeing complex events from initial handoff through final wrap-up. The manager prepares event materials, coordinates closely with sales, service teams, and clients, and helps ensure each event is delivered smoothly and to a high standard. A key part of the job is managing the transition between sales and operations while maintaining clear communication and accountability throughout the process. The position also focuses on improving event value and performance by identifying opportunities to increase revenue through added services and tailored enhancements. During planning and execution, the manager addresses operational issues, proposes practical alternatives when needed, and leads key meetings before and after events to confirm expectations, gather feedback, and resolve concerns. Additional duties include managing room and space allocations, tracking budgets, supporting billing and payment discussions, and forecasting event-related revenue. The role requires strong customer service skills, as well as the ability to build relationships, handle complaints professionally, and stay visible and responsive throughout the event cycle. A background in event coordination or a related field is typically expected, along with the ability to work independently and support broader event leadership when needed.
