We are seeking an experienced environmental assessment professional to lead planning studies, impact assessment work, and permit applications for a range of projects in the resource and industrial sectors. This position involves guiding multidisciplinary teams through the development of assessment documents, coordinating technical inputs, and helping shape project designs to better address environmental and regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal specialists, clients, government agencies, Indigenous communities, and other stakeholders to advance approvals and consultation activities. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing technical materials, supporting compliance and permitting efforts, tracking regulatory changes, and helping translate those changes into practical project guidance. The role also includes representing projects in meetings and workshops, supporting proposal development and business growth efforts, and contributing to risk reviews and project planning.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who can manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively across disciplines. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required, along with several years of relevant consulting or industry experience. Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills are essential, as is familiarity with assessment and licensing processes in northern and western Canadian jurisdictions. Mentoring junior team members and contributing to a high-performing team environment are also important parts of the position.
