Senior Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced electrical engineer to support the design, review, and troubleshooting of power distribution and control systems for marine, microgrid, and renewable energy applications. This permanent, full-time role can be based in Halifax, Ottawa, or Victoria and offers a salary range of $105,000 to $150,000 annually. In this position, you will lead technical work on electrical system design and development, with a focus on low-voltage distribution, safe troubleshooting practices, and reliable system performance. You will help prepare commissioning materials, document key engineering decisions, and review deliverables for quality, accuracy, and compliance. The role also involves guiding other team members, coordinating with clients, and contributing technical input to support project delivery and internal problem-solving. There will also be opportunities to assist with proposal development and business growth activities. Applicants should hold a degree in electrical engineering, have at least 10 years of relevant experience, and be licensed as a Professional Engineer in a Canadian province. Strong knowledge of marine or renewable power systems, electrical codes, and vessel-related standards is important. Experience with programmable control systems and exposure to the marine sector are considered assets. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams are essential.
