This permanent, full-time administrative role supports a department with day-to-day coordination and office operations. The successful candidate will handle a range of tasks that keep the team organized and responsive, including scheduling meetings and travel, preparing meeting notes, drafting and editing letters and other communications, and helping plan internal events. The position also involves keeping calendars current, managing appointments, and assisting with document preparation and distribution.
Strong discretion is essential, as the role requires working with sensitive information and interacting professionally with staff, leadership, and members of the public. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
Applicants should have post-secondary training in office or business administration, or several years of senior-level administrative experience. A solid understanding of standard office practices is required, along with strong written and verbal communication skills. Advanced proficiency with common workplace software is expected. A valid British Columbia driver’s licence and dependable transportation are also required, as some travel may be involved. Occasional overtime and light lifting may be necessary. Competitive hourly compensation is offered.
