Senior Accountant

We are seeking a senior accounting professional to support a multi-entity organization with a broad range of accounting and financial reporting tasks. Reporting to the controller, this person will handle day-to-day accounting activities, assist with month-end close, and contribute to analysis and compliance work across the business. Key responsibilities include bank and credit card reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, prepaid expenses, provisions, and other posting adjustments not covered by accounts payable or accounts receivable. The role also includes support for tax remittances and installments, intercompany allocations, payroll-related entries and reporting, and assistance with collections and cash flow improvement efforts. You will help prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, support audit requests, and contribute to budgeting and reporting processes. Additional duties involve reviewing account balances, preparing revenue and profitability analyses by business line, customer, and region, and assisting with project cost reporting. The position may also include inventory count support, inventory valuation, preparing subcontractor-related reporting, backup support for payables and receivables, and general accounting file management. A university degree in accounting or finance is required, along with several years of experience in a similar role. CPA designation completed or in progress is an asset. Strong Excel skills, excellent organization, attention to detail, and fluency in French and English are required. Experience with modern accounting and payroll systems is considered an asset.
