Security Estimator

We are seeking a detail-oriented Security Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates for complex electronic security projects. In this role, you will support a range of opportunities, including large bids, new-site builds, and multi-site customer programs, while working closely with senior technical staff, sales, engineering, procurement, and project teams. Your work will involve reviewing bid documents, drawings, specifications, and other technical materials to determine scope, risks, labor, materials, and timeline assumptions. You will develop bills of materials, gather pricing input from vendors and subcontractors, and create proposals that reflect realistic costs and project requirements. The position also includes participating in site visits, pre-bid meetings, and technical discussions to better understand project constraints and customer needs. You should be comfortable identifying scope gaps, highlighting risk items, and suggesting practical alternatives that improve cost effectiveness without compromising quality. Experience with physical security systems such as access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection is important, along with familiarity with industry regulations and compliance expectations. Strong organization, communication, and collaboration skills are essential, as this role requires managing multiple estimates and deadlines at once. Proficiency with estimating tools, spreadsheets, and project coordination software is also expected.
