School Principal

We are seeking an experienced education leader to guide a school environment focused on inclusive learning, cultural respect, and strong community relationships. The successful candidate will help shape programs that support student success through a competency-based approach and meaningful connections to local Indigenous knowledge and traditions. Key responsibilities include working with teachers, Elders, families, and community partners to support curriculum planning and implementation. You will help create learning experiences that reflect the cultures and perspectives of the community, while promoting equity, belonging, and respect for all students. The role also involves supporting inquiry-based instruction, contributing to assessment practices aligned with competency-based learning, and encouraging ongoing improvement across the school. A strong candidate will bring a solid background in education, experience with curriculum delivery, and familiarity with inclusive schooling practices. Knowledge of Indigenous cultures, history, and traditions is important, along with an understanding of land-based learning and how it can be integrated into school programs. Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills are essential. Eligibility for a teaching certificate in the relevant jurisdiction is required.
