This role leads a team focused on new business development and account retention while supporting revenue growth across an assigned territory. The manager helps shape and carry out the local sales plan, with an emphasis on improving pricing, service quality, and overall market performance. The position blends remote work, customer visits, and occasional in-office meetings, and requires residency on Vancouver Island. Key responsibilities include coaching and directing sales representatives, setting activity and growth targets, and ensuring consistent execution in the field. The manager works closely with sales and retention teams to balance acquisition and customer loyalty goals, while also helping resolve client issues and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers. The role involves regular performance reviews, training, mentoring, and field-based support to strengthen prospecting, pipeline development, and competitive positioning. Additional duties include monitoring market trends, reviewing lost business, identifying opportunities to improve share in the territory, and supporting pricing initiatives. The manager also uses sales systems and reporting tools to support prospecting, proposals, and customer management. Experience interpreting industry rules or operational requirements is helpful. The role may also involve interviewing candidates for open sales positions. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, though equivalent education and substantial business-to-business sales experience may be considered. Prior leadership of a sales team is an advantage.
