Full-time, permanent Sales Agent opportunity in local Ontario territories, with immediate opening and potential for additional hiring as the business grows. This role is suited to a self-motivated, community-oriented professional who enjoys relationship-based sales and independent territory management. Local travel is required, with primary coverage focused on one of two service areas.
The position offers a first-year guaranteed annual salary of $50,000 to $80,000, with a transition to commission-based compensation and uncapped earning potential as you build on an assigned book of business.
Key responsibilities include prospecting, qualifying, quoting, and binding coverage in line with underwriting guidelines; maintaining a strong pipeline; managing renewals and retention; identifying cross-sell and upsell opportunities; and providing responsive, personalized service to clients. You may also support clients through the claims process. Activity tracking in a CRM system is required, and prior experience with EPIC is considered an asset.
Applicants should have experience in property and casualty insurance, sales, or customer service, along with a valid Ontario insurance license such as OTL, RIBO, or equivalent. Strong communication, consultative selling, organization, and self-direction are essential. A valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle are required. Experience in agriculture or small commercial insurance, and CAIB or CIP studies, are assets. Occasional evenings and weekends may be needed for community events.
