Research and Development Manager

We are seeking an experienced Research and Development Manager to lead innovation and technical development initiatives within a controlled-environment agriculture setting. In this role, you will guide research programs that support improved crop performance, product quality, operational efficiency, and commercial growth. You will work across technical, production, quality, and operations teams to turn research insights into practical solutions that can be scaled in day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate has a strong background in plant science, horticulture, or a related field, along with experience designing and managing research projects. You will be responsible for setting research priorities, building experimental plans, and ensuring data is collected, analyzed, and documented in a rigorous and organized way. The role also requires translating findings into actionable recommendations and helping teams adopt improved methods and processes. Additional responsibilities include evaluating new crop options, testing emerging technologies and production inputs, and supporting the development of better growing practices. You should be comfortable leading technical initiatives, maintaining standard operating procedures, and driving continuous improvement through evidence-based decision-making.
