We are seeking an experienced supervisor to lead maintenance and repair operations in an industrial service environment. This role is responsible for directing a team, supporting safe work practices, and helping ensure that production, quality, and compliance expectations are met each day.
The successful candidate will begin with training on a day shift and may later move to an afternoon or overnight schedule depending on business needs. You will coordinate work assignments, monitor progress against daily targets, and support a positive, respectful workplace. A key part of the job is coaching employees, handling performance follow-up, and keeping the team aligned with policies, procedures, and labour agreements.
Duties include leading safety meetings, checking repair quality, completing inspections at key stages, tracking attendance, arranging labour coverage, and preparing accurate reporting. You will also help manage supplies and reduce waste while supporting continuous improvement efforts and resolving operational issues as they arise.
Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, prior supervisory experience in a repair or manufacturing setting, strong communication and leadership skills, and solid computer knowledge. Experience in a unionized environment is preferred. A valid driver’s licence and legal authorization to work in Canada are required. Knowledge of industry repair rules and continuous improvement methods would be an asset.
