We are looking for an experienced safety leader to oversee a multi-state health and safety program and help strengthen safe work practices across field operations. This role is responsible for guiding regional safety staff, supporting operational teams, and making sure policies, training, and procedures are consistently applied in fast-moving field environments.
The position involves regular site visits, inspections, audits, and incident reviews to identify hazards, confirm compliance with applicable workplace and transportation safety requirements, and recommend corrective actions. You will partner closely with operations leaders to promote a strong safety culture, provide coaching to supervisors and field personnel, and help manage response efforts after incidents, including follow-up actions and return-to-work coordination.
Additional responsibilities include developing practical safety programs, conducting risk assessments, preparing for new market launches or special projects, and representing the organization in meetings with clients or regulatory contacts. This role requires frequent travel, including extended time in certain regions, and the ability to work outdoors in active work zones.
Qualified candidates should have a degree in a related safety or environmental field, several years of experience in occupational health and safety within construction, utility, roadway, or similar field-based industries, and prior leadership experience across multiple locations. Strong communication skills, familiarity with standard office software and safety reporting tools, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record are also required.
