We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector to support civil and mechanical inspection activities on a project site. In this role, you will work with limited oversight to verify inspection and test plan steps, confirm compliance with project requirements, and keep clear records of all findings. You will review construction drawings, specifications, and related technical documents to support accurate inspections in the field.
Responsibilities include monitoring site work for quality compliance, attending surveillance, witness, and hold points, and identifying any non-conforming work. You will document issues, track corrective actions, and coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to help resolve quality concerns promptly. The position also involves carrying out or supporting inspections such as dimensional checks, fit-up and weld review where needed, as well as civil-related checks including compaction, concrete placement, and reinforcement verification.
The successful candidate should bring a relevant technical diploma or degree, or an equivalent recognized certification, along with hands-on site experience in construction or industrial environments. A solid understanding of inspection practices, applicable codes and standards, and common testing equipment is important. Strong computer skills, attention to detail, good communication, and a strong focus on safety are also required. Lead or senior-level QC experience is considered an asset.
