Quality Control Auditor

This role focuses on field-based quality reviews across operational sites, storage areas, equipment locations, and active work zones. The successful candidate will independently assess whether safety practices, compliance requirements, and equipment standards are being carried out correctly in day-to-day operations. This is an evaluation position, not a supervisory one, and does not involve managing staff or schedules. The main purpose is to document observations, confirm whether corrective actions are working, and provide clear findings that support better decisions. Responsibilities include conducting structured inspections using approved audit tools, checking work zone setups against required safety practices, reviewing training environments for readiness, and identifying unsafe conditions or departures from standards. The auditor will escalate urgent risks through the proper channels, verify that issues are addressed, and track recurring problems that may indicate broader process gaps. The role also involves reviewing and recording the condition, storage, and readiness of field equipment, vehicles, and related supplies, while working closely with internal teams when deficiencies are found. Reports must be accurate, objective, and easy to understand. Candidates should have several years of experience in field operations, strong knowledge of work zone safety and protective requirements, and the ability to work independently in changing outdoor conditions. Comfort with digital reporting tools, strong attention to detail, and a valid driver’s license with frequent travel availability are required. Experience in auditing, inspection, or safety oversight is an asset.
