Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a public sector environment in Victoria, British Columbia. This contract role involves leading initiatives with multiple stakeholders, coordinating cross-functional teams, and keeping delivery aligned with agreed scope, timelines, and budget. The successful candidate will manage planning, governance, communications, risk, procurement, and change control while helping resolve issues and keeping project objectives on track. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of recent project management experience in relevant knowledge areas, along with a degree in a technology-related or similar field, or an acceptable professional accounting or business designation. Strong capability with modern project management tools is expected. Candidates should be able to provide examples from at least three projects lasting eight months or more. This role requires proven experience leading multidisciplinary groups that may include business staff, managers, and external contractors. Experience developing business cases, feasibility materials, project charters, master plans, and risk analyses is important. The successful candidate should also be comfortable preparing change requests and budget-related materials, including estimates, schedules, required resources, deliverables, and task dependencies. Professional project management certification is preferred, and experience in financial services or payment-card related environments would be an asset. This position is onsite and suited to someone who can work effectively in a structured, collaborative setting.
