Project Manager, Renewable Energy

We are seeking an experienced project manager to support work related to offshore renewable energy development in a fast-changing sector. In this role, you will coordinate projects that bring together public-sector partners, private organizations, researchers, and community groups to support research, planning, and informed decision-making. You will help move initiatives forward, manage competing priorities, and keep work organized from early planning through completion. This is a full-time fixed-term role with a hybrid work arrangement in Halifax, Nova Scotia, covering a parental leave assignment with the potential for extension. Key responsibilities include leading projects through all stages of delivery, including scope definition, schedules, budgets, forecasting, reporting, and risk tracking. You will also help manage external research and consulting work by preparing requests for proposals, supporting procurement, administering contracts, and monitoring deliverables. A major part of the role involves maintaining strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and coordinating engagement activities such as meetings, workshops, webinars, and conference-style events. You will prepare proposals, funding materials, presentations, briefing notes, and reports for different audiences, and may represent the organization in meetings and public forums. You will also contribute to identifying new project ideas, partnership opportunities, and potential funding sources. The ideal candidate has post-secondary education in a relevant discipline, along with several years of experience in project management, consulting, offshore energy, marine, or related sectors. Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and independent judgment are essential, as is experience working with consultants and multidisciplinary stakeholders.
