We are seeking a Professional Engineer to manage machine safety projects within a consulting environment. In this role, you will work with a multidisciplinary team of health and safety professionals and support clients across a range of industrial sectors. The position combines technical assessment, project coordination, client communication, and report preparation.
Responsibilities include reviewing industrial equipment for safety risks, supporting compliance with relevant machine safety and legislative requirements, and contributing to the verification and validation of safeguarding systems. You will prepare clear technical documentation, assist with proposals and project budgets, and coordinate work through the full project cycle. This includes serving as a client contact, assigning tasks to technical staff, tracking deliverables, and supporting billing and invoicing activities. You will also help manage client expectations, resolve issues as they arise, maintain quality control, and provide training to internal team members and clients when needed.
The role involves regular local travel to client sites, with occasional longer-distance travel as project needs require. A hybrid work arrangement is available, combining office time, site visits, and remote work.
Qualifications include a Professional Engineer designation, preferably in electrical engineering, along with experience working with industrial equipment. Familiarity with machine safeguarding assessments, relevant safety standards, CAD tools, and Microsoft Office is considered an asset. Strong organization, communication, and time management skills are important. Salary is competitive, with a full benefits package and additional support for professional development.
