Project Director, Marine Construction

We are seeking an experienced project director to lead major marine infrastructure work within a civil works environment. In this role, you will oversee large-scale construction initiatives from planning through delivery, working closely with internal teams, consultants, subcontractors, and clients to keep execution on track and objectives aligned. Your responsibilities will include guiding project managers, supporting schedule development, and making sure key milestones and handover dates are met. You will also help drive practical solutions to improve efficiency, maintain strong quality standards, and coordinate the selection and performance of trade partners. Financial oversight is a key part of the role, including budget planning, cost control, and procurement follow-up. You will act as a coach and leader for the project team, sharing your experience to support professional growth and effective teamwork. In addition, you will monitor project risks, contribute to regular reporting for leadership and clients, and promote a strong culture of safety and environmental responsibility across all project activities. Candidates should bring extensive experience on major construction projects, including several years in marine or waterfront infrastructure delivery. A background in engineering or a related field is preferred, along with solid knowledge of project controls, financial management, building regulations, and scheduling tools.
