A project controls professional is needed to support the planning and delivery of technical and industrial projects. The successful candidate will help manage schedules, budgets, forecasts, and reporting so project teams can make informed decisions and keep work on track.
Key duties include building and updating project schedules, monitoring costs and commitments, and comparing actual progress against approved plans. You will prepare status reports, support performance analysis, highlight schedule or budget issues, and help identify actions to reduce risk. The role also involves contributing to change management by assessing the effect of scope, timing, or cost revisions, and coordinating with internal teams such as engineering, procurement, construction, and finance to keep information consistent and accurate. Participation in reviews, audits, and continuous improvement discussions is also expected.
The ideal candidate has a degree in a related discipline and several years of experience in project controls within construction, industrial, or similar environments. Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and clear communication skills are important. Experience with scheduling software and familiarity with common project delivery methods are considered assets. Background in resource-heavy sectors such as mining, energy, utilities, or other large-scale industrial settings is preferred.
Competitive compensation and benefits are available, with salary based on experience and qualifications.
