The Program Supervisor role is an active leadership position that requires direct engagement rather than a hands-off approach. Ideal candidates will demonstrate the ability to build trust through presence and earn respect through action, particularly when supporting adults with developmental disabilities, complex mental health needs, and diverse behavioral profiles. This role involves mentoring a team of Community Support Workers (CSWs) while actively participating in care delivery.
Responsibilities include setting the tone and standards for care, fostering a sense of belonging, and supporting individuals to live with dignity and independence. The supervisor will lead by example, encouraging skill development and community involvement among team members and individuals served. The role emphasizes harm reduction, strengths-based practices, and respect for unique abilities and goals.
This is a full-time, permanent position with a rotation schedule of six days on and three days off, working directly with individuals from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The supervisor will also participate in an on-call rotation with other supervisors.
Success in this role is measured by the trust built with team members and individuals, the professional growth of CSWs, and the positive impact on the lives of those supported. Candidates should possess strong leadership skills, a commitment to high-quality care, and the ability to manage day-to-day operations effectively.
