This role oversees a production shift in a fast-moving manufacturing environment. The supervisor is responsible for day-to-day team leadership, shift coordination, and ensuring operations run safely, efficiently, and in line with quality expectations. While the position is tied to an evening schedule, there may be occasional changes to working hours based on operational needs. Key responsibilities include leading shift start meetings, handling basic employee relations concerns, supporting workplace incident follow-up, and preparing shift reports and administrative updates. The supervisor also reviews attendance, approves hours worked, and addresses absenteeism in coordination with management. A major part of the role is monitoring production performance throughout the shift. This includes checking output, waste, and adherence to process standards, identifying issues quickly, and working with team leads to implement corrective actions. The supervisor is expected to make timely decisions during downtime, escalate concerns when needed, and ensure safety requirements are followed. The position also involves close collaboration with other departments such as warehouse, quality, maintenance, and safety. In addition, the supervisor supports training, coaching, and skill development for team members, helps maintain performance standards, and contributes to quality improvement and troubleshooting efforts.
