Job Title: Product Owner Location: Toronto, ON Reporting to: Group Head of Cannabis Role Summary The Product Owner is responsible for defining, prioritizing, and driving the development of a product portfolio within the cannabis sector. Acting as the business owner for assigned product categories, this role involves identifying market opportunities, translating customer and business needs into product requirements, and ensuring that product investments deliver commercial value and strategic growth. This position works at the intersection of commercial strategy and product development, leading the product vision and roadmap from concept through commercialization. The Product Owner collaborates closely with various teams, including Commercial, Engineering, Quality, Scientific, Supply Chain, and Project Management, to align development priorities with customer needs, market trends, and business objectives. Role Responsibilities - Own the product roadmap and prioritize initiatives for designated product categories, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business objectives. - Identify product opportunities through market research and customer insights. - Establish product requirements and positioning in line with corporate strategy. - Define product success criteria and target customers, providing commercial justification for development initiatives. - Oversee product performance throughout the lifecycle, from concept to post-launch evaluation. - Monitor product performance and drive corrective actions as needed. - Lead product initiatives from opportunity identification through launch, converting market opportunities into measurable success criteria. Qualifications - Proven experience in product management or ownership, preferably in a related industry. - Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret market data. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. - Ability to balance customer value with technical feasibility and commercial objectives.
