A senior geoscience leader is sought to guide regional exploration activities and support the advancement of a major mineral project in Saskatchewan. This full-time position is based in a regional office in Saskatoon, with regular collaboration with field teams and occasional travel to site.
The role focuses on shaping and executing the regional exploration plan, prioritizing targets, and helping move opportunities from early-stage concepts to drill-ready prospects. You will work closely with the exploration manager and other technical teams to provide oversight across multiple projects, ensuring work is aligned with broader growth objectives. A strong emphasis is placed on team leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key responsibilities include evaluating exploration opportunities, refining target criteria, using a mix of technical methods to improve targeting, and monitoring regional land and competitor activity to support recommendations on new acquisitions. The position also involves managing consultants and team members, contributing to technical reports and management updates, and supporting health, safety, environmental, and community engagement efforts.
Candidates should have a degree in geology or a related field, with advanced study preferred. Professional geoscience registration, or eligibility for registration, is required. Significant experience in mineral exploration, including regional programs focused on base metals, is expected.
