Previs/ Layout Supervisor

We are seeking a talented Previs/Layout Supervisor to lead our previs and layout teams on a high-profile animated series. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Director to translate their vision into a practical framework within a 3D environment. Your responsibilities will include establishing the visual language of the project and ensuring that your team has the necessary workflows, guidance, and support to succeed. Key responsibilities include guiding the creation of proxy environments, managing the translation of storyboards into 3D, and overseeing camera placements and character blocking to enhance storytelling. You will also be responsible for strategic planning and assigning tasks to your team, fostering a collaborative and respectful work environment, and maintaining clear communication during high-pressure periods. The ideal candidate will have 7–10+ years of production experience in Previs, Layout, or Camera, with a proven track record as a Supervisor or Senior Lead on CG projects. A strong understanding of cinematography principles, extensive experience with Maya, and proficiency in production tracking tools are essential. You should possess a leadership style that emphasizes empathy, transparency, and effective problem-solving.
